Biz Dev Associate

Role Summary

As our Business Development team continues to grow, we’re looking for a sharp, personable, and driven Business Development Associate to join the team. This role will be responsible for contributing to our Business Development department in a wide variety of areas, including sales pipeline management, drafting custom solutions and proposals for clients, lead generation process & execution, market research, client communication, and marketing support.

Our ideal candidate must be able to move quickly, run and help refine processes, conduct thorough research, and aspire to become an expert on  our core services and how we identify, connect with, and bring on new client accounts. Every member of the business development team must have an inherent knack for quickly building a “trusted advisor” relationship with prospects through active listening, asking the most intelligent questions that subtly embed our expertise, and constantly seeking opportunities to add value.

This is a unique opportunity for a smart, hungry, tech enthusiast who is already very interested in digital products and technology strategy, driven to constantly learn, and excited to jump into a different kind of consultative sales and business development role.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide research and support for the Business Development team
  • Review inbound RFPs/leads and client requirements; work with sales team to structure strong responses & proposals
  • Manage our client pipeline as well as support our customer relationship managers
  • Help develop target account lists and pursue specific relationships
  • Use a mix of email, formal & informal in-person meetings, calls, and social messaging for effective prospect outreach
  • Write project proposals and respond to RFPs from potential clients
  • Work with our Delivery Team to create project plans, handoff key information and scope tasks
  • Research clients, competitors and target markets for outreach strategy
  • Maintain and nurture existing client relationships with the hope of growing them beyond our current engagement
  • Sourcing and managing subject matter experts when necessary via Upwork or Catalant


Our Ideal Candidate Has…

  • Experience in an agency or consulting environment (ideally in business development, client services, account management, or strategy)
  • Ability to quickly understand a client’s unique goals and needs and drive internal delivery teams to execute on those needs
  • Experience creating written business development proposals and marketing materials
  • The ability to actively manage relationships with prospective clients from initial conversation through the close
  • Strong knowledge of modern technology basics and passion for keeping up with digital trends
  • INCREDIBLE PERSISTENCE & DISCIPLINE
  • Proficient knowledge of CRM tools including LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Base or other comparable systems
  • Be proficient with case studies and client retrospectives
  • Ability to produce detailed and well-organized research and documentation (have a knack for effectively summarizing concepts, thoughts, and research)
  • Strong research and analytical skills and problem-solving ability
  • Project and task management skills that are proactive and consider the big picture while easily managing day-to-day tasks
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to build rapport quickly with clients and understand the intricacies of each individual relationship
  • A keen eye for clean and beautiful design aesthetics
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
