Diathrive is a healthcare organization that provides an immersive, personalized approach to holistic diabetes management. Diathrive collaborated with Sidebench on their tech-enabled strategy and built a state-of-the-art product that includes an app that can sync across multiple devices, helps connect members with specialized health advisors, and provide customized suggestions based on the health data the application captures. Sidebench also helped to implement features such as access to a glucose logbook, video and chat functionality, and educational content.

User Engagement

One of our main focuses when designing and developing the tech-enabled strategy for Diathrive was driving and inspiring user engagement. By conducting an in-depth discovery engagement and dedicating sufficient time to investigating the mental, physical, and emotional states of diabetes patients, we were able to implement and leverage our experience with data visualization tools as a way to increase stickiness, and retention, and keep users engaged.

Business Strategy

Sidebench assisted Diathrive Health in the expansion of its business model from direct-to-consumer blood glucose monitoring to being able to offer a broader array of benefits to larger health plans and employer-funded benefits packages. Through this tech-enabled strategy, Diathrive is now able to improve patient outcomes in diabetes management at a much lower cost to patients. With Diathrive, patients are able to receive with personalized guidance from health advisors, insightful data, and lasting care which is something the healthcare market is currently bereft of. Sidebench is proud to be able to assist Diathrive in its fight to improve some of the psychological factors associated with social determinants of health, build long-term motivation in patients, and spark a measurable decrease in healthcare costs for payors and patients alike.
