Could you tell us a little bit about your background and how you found your way to Sidebench?
One of the companies my dad started when I was a kid was a platform that leveraged data for smarter college sports recruiting. So from an early age my personal interests (sports, finance, entertainment) were colliding with my future professional interests (startups and tech). After building my business development skills with the Genius Sports Group and growing into an Account Executive at a wealth management firm, I stumbled upon Sidebench while browsing Angel List. The client list drew me in – a16z and Red Bull – and after meeting the team I was hooked on their entrepreneurial spirit and consultative approach. It was a perfect fit.

What is your favorite item you’ve bought this year?
I would have to say the 10×10 sq. ft. patch of fake grass that now covers the walls in my room. I threw my surfboard and favorite pictures up in front of it, dropped cork lights into a few empty wine bottles and hid a humidifier behind the grass. It’s cool to live in a jungle…

Close second would be Swimming by Mac Miller on Vinyl or a Spalding NBA Replica Indoor/Outdoor basketball that’s already wearing down.

Which item have you carried with you the longest and where did it come from?
I’ve had the same wallet for as long as I can remember. It’s seen over 21 different countries around the world and is always good for storing memories – a note from my mom, old Netherlands ID and USC student ID cards, some polaroids. I wish it was better at storing cash though.
